WELCOME TO FERUARY 2017

While the world complains about recession and depression, the Almighty will fulfil His counsel in your life. As you yield yourself to His word/promises/plan, He will make you like a tree planted by the waters; everything shall happen to you in its season.

Look away from the troubles; make the Almighty God your focus and His word, your guide – as lamp to your feet and light to your path in life.

Instead of wantonly pursuing His blessings and works, yield yourself to Him as servant of His purpose; seek only for His glory and praise in your life; and it shall be to you according to His word.

Settle into this new month with the knowing that “… no word from God will ever fail.” Luk 1:38

Happy new month to you and all yours. Peace be to you all round.

Yours in His service,

Isaac Boluwatise

Welcome to 2017. Happy New Year to You

You shall be saved from doom and every inclination that leads to it. The direction of the Almighty shall save you from the pressure of the times.

Your eyes shall see; your hears shall hear; your heart shall perceive. Wisdom and carefulness shall be the stability of your time and the strength of your safety.

Obedience shall pay off for you and at the time of recession or depression, you will accomplish what is seemingly impossible.

Welcome to 2017. Your journey through it shall be right all the way with God.

Happy new year.

Welcome to September 2016

The walls are falling down flat and the gates are flinging open.

God has given you the victory over every wall and gate preventing your access.

Identify and mark out whatever the form is before you; Speak to them with a voice of triumph in the exalted name of Jesus.

They are becoming history this September.

Happy new month.

OUT OF ZION 030 | WILL YOU BE WORTHY OF THE PEACE THAT GOD SENDS? 2

Sons of peace will respond positively and actively to the peace God sends their way.

Now Joshua the son of Nun sent out two men from Acacia Grove to spy secretly, … So they went, and came to the house of a harlot named Rahab, and lodged there… Then the woman took the two men and hid them…. Josh 2:1,4.

From last week, it was pointed out that sons of peace or those worthy of the peace upon God’s messengers (Matt 10:11-15) are those whose means will be used to furnish provisions to those who God has sent on specific assignments. Rahab for the spies – Josh 2:1ff; and Lydia for Paul and his team at Philippi – Acts 16:12-15

Sons of peace will qualify themselves for the peace by their positive responses. Looking at the record concerning Rahab the harlot, there are FOUR ways by which the sons of peace will respond to qualify.

We already considered that THEY WILL FIND OPPORTUNITIES TO DO SOMETHING UNCOMMON – Josh 2:3-7. A thing uncommon is often what could be easily overlooked, avoided, despised, glossed over; which particular hold the seed for the future (details in last week edition).

THEY RECOGNISE AND ATTEND TO THINGS WHICH AROUSE THEIR FAITH: Faith deals with the unseen, not the unknown. Sacrificial commitment is only found where faith is real. What do you believe? Rahab believed in the God of Israel. She heard of what He had done. She knew the land was already given to the Israelites. She therefore protected the spies because she both feared and trusted the God of Israel. The spies were the connectors she needed; she expected their protection. By faith a harlot got into the genealogy of Jesus. Works of faith are in correspondence to the commitment in the heart. Faith is known by works. Jam 2:19. You can look forward to a reward because the works of faith are never in vain.

THEY WILL MAKE PROVISION FOR THE FUTURE NOT JUST WITH WORDS BUT ALSO WITH THEIR OBEDIENCE. Talk is cheap they say. Actions weigh much more – Matt 21:28-32. Your prayers to God will work; your works in obedience will, much more. Obedience to God should be in little things – Jn 2:1ff; they are often likely to be missed. The demand may not come in loud voice; not in quiet voice; maybe in no voice. They obey towards a harvest: when there is an expectation there is seriousness; the commitment is proportional to expectation; where there is no expectation, people cast of restraint – Pro 29:18.

THEY WILL STAY WITHIN THE BOUNDS OF THEIR COMMITMENT: Why do people attempt the uncommon, connect with the future in obedience attend to what they believe and still do not receive. Assumptions have been the bane of many. That you are in God’s care doesn’t mean you should take the risks He has not commanded. The promise of the spies was not all that was required for Rahab to experience peace. She needed to stay within the bounds: make mention of the spies’ mission to no one; stay indoors; mark her windows with the scarlet cord she used to drop the spies off the wall; and keep all her people indoors. If you have expectations for the future as a son of peace who receive those on God’s mission, the bounds will be made known to you. Those who receive the apostles in Jesus’ days on earth were to house them, feed them and if for any reason they showed the apostles the door, the peace carried by the apostles shall return to them. Anything outside the bounds of the commitment will make Rahab’s misfortune to be her own responsibility. Rahab’s blood on her heard

LET YOUR LIFE RESPOND TO GOD’S MERCY: Response to God’s mercy sent your way will cause you to do things consistent with the supply. What you do today is a seed for tomorrow – Rev 22:12. As little foxes spoil the vine, 2 SS 2:11, so do little oversights eat up the future. Today is for adjustments and prayerful decisions and expectations. Trust God to help you to optimise your opportunities; That your faith in God will reflect in your works; That instead of just drifting, you will live with expectation and operate within the bounds of your commitment to God.

OUT OF ZION 029 | WILL YOU RESPOND TO THE PEACE THAT GOD SENDS?

Sons of peace will respond positively to the peace that God sends their way through His servants.

Now Joshua the son of Nun sent out two men from Acacia Grove to spy secretly, … So they went, and came to the house of a harlot named Rahab, and lodged there… Then the woman took the two men and hid them…. Josh 2:1,4

The place of those ‘worthy of the peace’ carried by someone on a mission is undeniable, especially in Christian ministry, for none can stand or do it alone.; None has it all mapped out. God has arranged for things to work out in the path of His assignments by furnishing help through the sons of peace. Cases in reference are Matt 10:1-15 and Josh 2:1ff

God has blessings to give out on earth. These blessings are the requirements for life’s journey. For these man looks up to God since he cannot of his own strength accomplish some of them. Matt 7:7. These blessings range from current needs to the future needs. Most of what heaven will do on earth will be commanded on earth, unless they are things that are obviously beyond the system here.

Money will not drop from heaven. Cars are not manufactured in heaven. Houses have not dropped from the heavens. For heaven’s mission to be carried out on earth, the material resources will be commanded on earth – Jn 6:1-12; matt 21:1-3; 26:17-19. The problem is that most people do not know that in divine arrangement one man’s seed is another’s harvest. If there is failure to give out that seed the desired harvest in the future may never come. 2 Cor. 8:9

Sons of peace or those worthy of the peace upon God’s messengers are those whose means will be used to furnish provisions to those who God has sent on specific assignments. Rahab for the spies – Josh 2:1ff; and Lydia for Paul and his team at Philippi – Acts 16:12-15

Sons of peace respond positively to the provision of peace that God sends their way through His servants. Looking at the record concerning Rahab the harlot, there are FOUR ways by which the sons of peace will respond to the provision.

THEY WILL FIND OPPORTUNITIES TO DO SOMETHING UNCOMMON – Josh 2:3-7. A thing uncommon is often what could be easily overlooked, avoided, despised, glossed over. Whereas such things have in them the seed needed for the future. The servants of Jesus were practically unknown; they were however sent to those they did not have any arrangement with. To make the matter worse, they were to take no provision along. Heaven chose this option because they were carriers of peace that someone definitely needed. The reception granted them will make those who receive them to be worthy of the peace they did carry. The emissaries of Israel were mere men made significant by the assignment given them. On their espionage they were secret representative of Israel and by extension, servants of God’s interest. None knew then in Jericho. In fact, being known will be dangerous for them. There was however something with them that will give someone doomed to death and destruction a future. Who will be worthy of that blessing? Don’t think that all that you will attend to will come with a tag on it that will cause everyone to ordinarily know that they are meant for you. Life is by faith and not by sight. The faith of God within you will be the connecting point between certain blessings and you. Wrong discrimination might be dangerous. It is not necessarily the big stuffs that connects with the future, it might be the few loaves of bread and few fishes. It might be the boat of peter on the sea of galilee; it might even be the expensive alabaster box. For RAHAB It was the capacity and the decision to protect those whom God has marked because they were on His mission, a greater mission. When you protect something greater than you, you are tapping into a greater grace or peace; you are making provision for your future in your obedience. (TO BE CONTINUED).

Help is useful when responsibility is taken, for responsibility makes collaboration profitable.

If Jordan is the river you have not crossed before, crossing it then is a new experience; it is doing something new, something personally unprecedented; setting new target spiritually, materially, financially; stepping out of your current rut.

Nothing changes until you have decided to use change. You did not just get to the secondary school or to the university. You got to those places through a process of doing things differently and attempting new things. Even in salvation, while the provision has always been there, the change starts with you through your decision to believe in the Lord Jesus before heaven blesses you with its provision.

Help is useful when responsibility is taken, for responsibility makes collaboration profitable. Symbiosis is the way life goes; parasites are less desirable than hosts.

The blessing upon responsibility is collaboration. We can accomplish more of the corporate plan of God’s for us through cooperation with others. God sets everyone in communities for it is not good for Adam to be alone. He sets us in societies that we may live together in harmony and accomplish the His objectives for our corporate lives. He picks the solitary and sets them in families so as to break their bounds and release them into prosperity – Ps 68:6.

God’s plan for us is first for the group and then for the individuals. We all find our individualities and significance in the group. Together is the language of a group. The poor and rich come together, the lord is the maker of all – Pro 22:2. Through group experience we foster a balance that all may experience the good which God has in plan for our togetherness.

There is imbalance simply because of weaknesses of some. They are weak vis-a-vis the appropriation of God’s grace. Communal life sees to it that none falls short of God’s grace. The keyword in consideration here is ‘taking hold together with against’. Ecc 4:9-12 pointed to us the advantages of togetherness: Woe unto him that is alone; Two are better than one; A threefold cord is not easily broken. Geometric progression is enacted when forces are joined together under God – Lev 26:8; Deut 32: 30; Josh 23:10.

You are expected to join force with your significant others over their weaknesses with the strength, wisdom, abilities and encouragement that you have gained from God so as to prevail with them against their existent limitations. Practically speaking, everyone has an area of grace or testimony from the past with which he could help the other person.

The culture of God’s kingdom is cooperation, not a taking over of responsibility. If we usurp others’ responsibility, we would be promoting the culture of irresponsibility and laying foundation for implosion of fellowship and community. Kingdom help is via cooperation just as salvation happens through collaboration between heaven and earth. Even if our part of the salvation deal is very insignificant, we still had to believe to appropriate the provision. The one in need of help must willingly take up responsibility for help to be justified.

Let us all learn to be responsible and let those who are stronger and more advantaged be disposed to helping the weaker ones with the measure of grace which God has satisfied them with. By doing this we would all be able to enter into our corporate rest, the rest which remains for those who believe.
