  • Blessed are the Peacemakers …

    March 13th, 2019

There is a thin line between playing religious game and being Christ’s disciples.

Jesus looked at them on the mount and told them, blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the sons of God.

Can we transform with His eternal principle on the way towards the goal of our high calling in Christ.

Our calling is not to fire the embers of division but to be peacemakers. It is to make peace and not war. It is to continually speak peace even when those who are in opposition are spitting war.

This war mode only builds the walls that Jesus pulled down with His sacrifice on Calvary. This war mode only pitches us again Christ’s other sheep who are still outside the fold.

We cannot fight them today, because of religious and political divisiveness and expect to “Bring them in from the fields of sin …[and] Bring the wand’ring ones to Jesus.”

I have been restless in the past few days, praying that the Lord will raise peace makers in the church. Those who are either praying right, and articulating blessings in the closet or making peace in the public even if the atmosphere is of war.

Our wineskin is leaking, we are beginning to think the old way of the flesh is the right way. The leakage is bringing in strange waters that the church isn’t know for in the yesteryears. It is corrupting the souls of the saints.

A cross-section of the church today will go physical when they feel their leader has being violated. The message on mountains and hills is not longer to shear the sword.

Some of our leaders have flagrantly dissented from the teachings on the Lord in the mount.

If in the name of safety, we have created a generation of believers who are so enemy conscious full time and distracted from pursuing the mark of the high calling in Christ, why will political interest not become the reason why strange teachings and strange utterance will flow from the pulpit.

Politics, religious, and ethnic interests, not the faith once delivered to the saints, is are reason for for the new wave on violent Christians – the wave that trended from mid-eighties when progress in understanding was tainted with flesh, empire building, and divisiveness.

The landmark of examples from the father’s of faith from the past have been violated on the altar of fleshly revelations.

In the first century, the uproar against the church want less than the one we have today. The teachings in the epistles portended a church that was law abiding and praying for leaders opposed to them.

Fleshly teachings and choices; flesh plus the prophetic which equals SPECULATIONS have taken over.

Who is thinking? Who is concerned about the next generation of believers? What will it be like a hundred years from now?

Jesus did not arouse the mob. Peter and John did not when they were to be taken. When Peter was released from prison, there was no misinformed expressions and violation of the souls of the saints by mobilising them for war and division.

Let’s go back to the closet and pray right. Let’s come into the open to make peace and not war.

Peacemakers resolve issues with peace and love, not with conflict. We can still use activism of ideological persuasion subject to Christ’s teachings instead of idolising the sociological doctrine of conflict viewpoint. Let’s keep the society or the nation together, let the testimony of division not be from the church.

  • The Christmas Handshake

    December 24th, 2018

The divine handshake across eternity, time , and space which came 2000 years ago was intended for a huge embrace. The handshake is still extended today.

Jesus did not come just to responsibly bear the rule for our good and welfare; He came to also relate with us as the One with whom we’ll continue to be amazed; the One who would be our friendly guide and personal counsellor: the loving Father whose love would never ever let go as much as we continue to run to Him; the Prince who is peace-loving and peace-giving amidst the turbulence of this world; and the One whose responsibility for us and the peace He gives will know no bound.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 Cor 5:18-20

As we commemorate this Christmas season, let us appreciate this Divine handshake and respond to Him with a huge embrace, an embrace in faith; let us allow His gift to shine light and bring further beauty into our souls; let’s make it known to others that He came for all.

May the meaning of His coming be real in your life and to your loved ones through this season and into the coming year.

Merry Christmas and a blessed 2019 to you and yours.

    With love,

    Tolu & Seyi Boluwatise.

  • The kingdom of God is not of this Age

    July 12th, 2018

The kingdom of God is not of this age.

It’s reality presently is only spiritual. No anointing can realise God’s paradisal plan in this current age.

Because we tone down on the primary business of soul winning to emphasise social reformation, the world looks away from the government it voted to blame its woes on the church.

It was not paradisal when Christ was here, neither was it in the age of the apostles. The attempt of the church to merge with the state then only brought corruption and power mongering into the church.

Our social reformation agenda can only be in the souls we are winning over to God’s side.

The end time prophecies stand. We can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. How can we have an agenda that will contradict the prophesies concerning the last days.

We can make efforts; the truth is that darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the people. The light over the church is to salvage the souls on the pathway to hell, raise them to be followers of Christ.

How can there be a better nation when we are busy with alternative agenda. What did Christ ask the church to do? The only way to cure the nation is to raise more people to be the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. These are the ones that will live righteously with love for fellow man, having the best interest of others at heart.

Economic reformation agenda in the church is not evil. I am however looking for where the church was instructed for it. I want a society that works. The mission of the church however is not to accomplish a Dubai or Singapore. We even question being spirit-filled in such light. The more we face such, the more there are those who are defrauding others even in the church.

Any other approach will only tell people what they know. Self serving corrupt souls know that their culture will not build the nation. Their will is base under the dominion of sin, loving money more than God and more than the fellow man.

A better society is only in more Christlike souls.

  • Welcome to December 2017, The Almighty is Crowning Your Year With Bounty

    December 2nd, 2017

God’s grace is His kindness or goodwill that is directed towards His people. Its essence is for them to be blessed and empowered. The operation of grace happens in specific areas of our lives to empower us to live right by giving us victory over sin and the gravitational pulls of the flesh and of the world.

Grace works to empower us to work or to serve well and with power by being upon us in great measure for us to witness the ressurection of the Lord Jesus and to serve the will of God effectively in our generation; it also helps us to relate well with others as we depend on this power of the endless life that is at work within to live and relate with others without recourse to the influence of the present world which passes away.

The operation of grace is never without purpose. It is not to be treated as untrue as its operations have been apparent throughout the history of God’s dealings with humans. It is not to be received without result as recipients of grace are expected to work out what has been worked within them.

Grace in practical terms also relates with appropriate timings and seasons – 2 Cor 6:2. God is disposed to listen to you at the appropriate time, at the welcomed time that is not primarily and necessarily of man’s choosing. Our God who sees all things and can do all things often prevails on man’s preference by making things to happen in the lives of His people at the most appropriate time. The pleasure of the decision concerning timing is dependent on His prerogative and will always be in the best interest of His people, both corporately and individually.

The grace of God is also disposed to help you in the day of salvation. The day of salvation refers to the season when He rescues from particular dangers to restore to the state of safety and well being either because man has made himself vulnerable unnecessarily or because he is exposed to some particular onslaught of the enemy.

The call on you today is to pay attention to what God is working out in your favour. The favourable time is always in the now even if not for the entire aspects of your life; it is always in the now for those that the time is now appropriate for. The day of salvation, in like manner, is always in the present.

Pay attention now to see the Lord crown your year with His goodness – Ps 65:11; complete what He has started; and fulfil the very necesssary aspects of His promises in your life.

Welcome to December 2017, see the Almighty crowning your year with bounty.

  • Welcome to November 2017, Be Sensitive to Know Your Season.

    November 1st, 2017

God’s grace is always at work towards His people and in certain providential matters, towards everyone. The operation of grace however has its season; and certain grace comes with certain times.

When you recognise the visitation of God’s grace, you will know what to ask for. It cannot be everything for now. When you recognise the operation of God’s grace to save, you will discern the help which is available to you now, because there are times and seasons to a man’s lifetime.

To discern relates with to interpret. This we all do in the natural, in certain basic aspects of our human experience. The religious leaders in the time of Christ were versed in the art of interpreting the weather but failures when it comes to the matter of understanding the times or the seasons of their existence.

The words of Jesus indicated that every time has its sign, and that the signs can thus be used to know the times. This is more than what the clock reads; it is more of what the direction is for the season.

It is essential that everyone knows how to interpret his present time – Luk 12:56. The interpretation of the times has to do with the judgement of what is right – Luk 12:57; it is as simple as being able to see the indicators in a particular season to know what would or would not happen and how you should respond to make the right thing happen – Luk 12:58-59.

I pray for you this month, that your spiritual senses shall receive a fresh quickening to know and not to miss out on what this season of your life is meant for; that you will be liberated from following human trends or patterns from other people’s lives that humans are wont to follow because they could not recognise their own time and season.

Welcome to November 2017, be sensitive to know your season.
