It is time to recognise God as your source and His words as your means. If you do, you will stay current with Him by being devoted and obedient to His instructions, even when confronted with seemingly minor issues in life.

To take little things for granted will only produce vulnerability for failure. Devotion to God’s word will cause your faith to be rated as genuine when you are evaluated with life’s tests.
Be careful not to regret being where God has brought you in life as it amounts to injustice to His goodness to you and His plans for you. Forget the past and stay mindful of His benefits in your life. Ex 16:34

It will be foolish to wait for crisis before looking for the word. What we receive today must serve to prepare us for or till tomorrow.

When you learn to live by the word of God, your prosperity will be according to the prosperity in your soul.the soul prospers according to the transformation it experiences from the word.

This transformation makes for a healthy walk with God because your responses to Him shall be as expected.

Every word received from HimGod today will sustain you till tomorrow, for he gives provision as till tomorrow.

Your victory at every life’s test will be based on the abundance of the word laid up within. This is the example from Christ who combated and conquered the adversary with “it is written”.

You should not be more mindful of your need for bread than you think of your future which the word of God both defines and directs
God wants you, as He did with Israel, to recognise that your life depends on His words. He asked Israel in the wilderness, “How long do you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?” Ex 16:28.

Your sustenance is not mainly from your material supply but from the word of God. This is why your major concern should be about your soul. Out of your soul flows the issues of life. The issues will be positive when God’s words are laid up in there.

Your journey with God is practical; it is seen in how much you agree with God’s word and promises.

Man’s life should not be directed by the material things he has appetite for, it should be governed by every instruction from God. Obedience to God’s word will put order into your life.

In spite of people’s stubbornness and complaints, God in his grace still make provision of them.

He supplied the need of Israel despite their complaints. It was a daily provision except on the day before the sabbath. It was a basis for testing them whether they will walk in divine direction.

God went ahead to show them the new works to confirm what He did in the past, in redeeming them out of Egypt – Ex 16:6; I do not think this was necessary at all, for if I gave you a gift yesterday, would I need to give you another to confirm that I gave you something yesterday? The graciousness of God was at work in spite of their obstinacy. He visited them with His kindness again to manifest His glory – Ex 16:7; and to confirm to them whom He is – Ex 16:12

He miraculously supplied them with quails in the evening and manna (meaning ‘what is it?’) in the morning. He instructed them to gather according to their need, a particular measure for each person, Ex 16:16

They still failed the test as some chose to do things their way. They left of the provision overnight and it bred worms and stank. Ex 16:19-20; some others went out to gather on sabbath without finding. Ex 16:27.
